October 26, 2023: All the world is lucky to be your home

This week was crazy but I've got no time! Sorry if this is scatterbrained or something!

Saturday was insane, we had an incredible lesson where one of our friends had an amazing experience with the Book of Mormon, where she was comforted during her trials. She is hopefully going to get baptized soon or at least on date 🤞. We went to Schwester Klucken for some great pizza with tuna and olives and stuff, which wasn't as bad as it sounds, but I burned my tongue like crazy on the second bite, and couldn't taste anything afterwards. I can still feel the burn. Anyways we went home, had another lesson, and then got a call. We missed it, but called back and it is the most Golden person I've ever heard of or seen! She's been looking for truth for 40 years, and looked on the Finde Christus website, and felt that she was in the right place. She found out about the Book of Mormon, and is basically already sold on it. She couldn't believe there was another record that testifies of Jesus christ that she hadn't heard of! We are so excited to teach her, and she was crazy excited to learn more. She even mentioned baptism and everything in the call, like she was doing our work for us. We just stood there dumbfounded by what we were hearing from this golden lady. She's got a family and everything too, and is German.

Schwester Klucken had her birthday today so we spent some time to celebrate with her. It just so happens to be my dad's birthday too so happy birthday Padre! He is an incredible example to me of a man of faith and loyalty to his family and the Gospel.

We did an exchange with Krefeld, and I got to lead Elder Stucki in Wesel, and he's convinced its the magic kingdom. We had a really weird lesson with one guy, because of the war in Israel. There's definitely a lot of  tension here because there's so many refugees, but luckily we are safe for the time being.

Anyways we missed our train to a member appointment, and then the next train fell out, and they baked a cake for us and everything it was super sad, but we got to do some finding and met an old Catholic guy who liked talking about Jesus' siblings, which was interesting. 

We got some german Eis, they had a banana one that reminded me of my dad's homemade shakes we would have on movie nights.

After DRat we had a member who wanted to come with us to eat, and he bought us all Sucuck&Chill which was super nice of him, it was amazing. There's so many amazing members here, despite their few numbers. 

We have transfers next week, and I find out if I stay or go on Tuesday! I'm excited to see what happens. Either way there's gonna be a lotta changes round this neck o the woods.

  First- Happy Thanksgiving!!  Second- I did not write last week. There may be some lost content but it's been a great couple weeks since my last email! We've been teaching a crazy amount of lessons and it is awesome. We have a very nice variety of languages, backgrounds, and people we're teaching. It's probably about 33% German, 33% English (often from Nigeria) and then 33% other where we have to involve translation, wether Turkish, French, or Arabic. It's super cool. We have a few people making a lot of progress: Alex: I was calling up old contacts a couple weeks ago and a Turkish lady named Alex picked up the phone and we made an appointment. October 19, 2023: I hear there's a new hero in town

  Challenge me, if you dare. This week was great! I saw a lot of little miracles, so it was nice to know God is looking out for me :)  We had interviews on Thursday! We had to head out pretty early to make our way to the city of Düsseldorf, where our stake center is located. We got to play with logos and eat candy while we waited, and it was nice to forget how old we are for a few minutes. My interview went really well actually, last time it was very short but this time my mission president, President Cropper actually helped me with a lot of what I've been struggling with. To be fair I didn't really know anything for my last interview. Our president calls the food döner (sounds closer to doo-ner) "doner"(doe-ner), but nobody's told him how to say it right for the past 3 transfers, and its pretty funny. July 26, 2023: IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII

  IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII IIIII "Revenge is a dish best served cold" The Ping Pong Bandit Today I bring you rad tidings of great joy. It rained like 4 times this week! With lightning and everything, it was wonderful. Reminds me of my days long past in the state of Oklahoma, with howling wind, skies ablaze, and lightning in the air. Tis all yet but an old memory. In all seriousness, during one of our 10 minute breaks we got to run all the way downstairs and outside to play in the rain for just a few minutes. That seems like such a little thing, but you really learn to appreciate the little things when you are here. Every normal thing you get to do is just filled with wonder and amusement. Also, The sky was almost literally on fire yesterday. Sundays are incredible here! I used to not look forward to Sundays that much, but they're such a good breath of fresh air in the MTC.
