May 30, 2024: Persevere and you'll find your way back home

No time so just a lil one!

Crazy stuff is among us!

We got transfer news on Saturday, which was nuts because this transfer decides who gets sent off to the new mission, and who will stay in the Frankfurt mission. Not sure if I've talked about that before or not with yall, but that's what's up. I got told I was staying, but I am being transferred to FRANKFURT. It's a HUGE city, bigger than I will know what to do with. It should be super fun though, cuz that's where the mission HQ is, along with our president and APs most of the time. I'm going to be the new district leader there, so that's cool. Also, I'll be living in a penthouse with 5 other Elders, so it'll be a party every day. Our district consists of the APs (Assistant to the president), STL's (Sister training leaders), the office sisters, myself and my companion. Speaking of my new companion, he is a Ukrainian! crazy. I met him the other day at a mission conference, and his english is so funny. He's pretty young on the mission too, it'll be his 3rd transfer (it'll be my 8th in field).

We had an apostle come visit our mission!! It was awesome. It was Elder Uchtdorf too, who is the only German apostle right now. He gave his whole conference in German, and it was sooooo cool. His wife spoke as well. The spirit was crazy strong. At the same time though, we had a mission conference, so the entire mission got together at the same time for the first time since I've been here. That was a crazy sight, it was like an extended family reunion. I've never seen so much joy and love in one room. I don't think I've smiled that much since the night I opened my mission call, like the kind where your cheek bones start hurting because you've been too happy for too long.

We're doing what we call a "White Wash", where both elders leave an area at once, and basically give the area a fresh start. Because of the changes in the mission that happen soon, tons of areas had the same thing happen. It's super sad though because it feels like things have started picking up right when we get told we are both leaving. But so is life.

I played tennis today! That was super fun, I played a set with a member. Secured the win 💪

We went to this massive park and they had a huge lego display. I'll have a few pics attached.

That's all for now, thank you!
