What an awesome week!
Here's some highlights:
- we got to help a new senior couple move in, and translate for all the bureaucracy they had to do here. It was awesome to get to know them!
- we went on a branch hike! Most of our branch got together on Saturday and did a short hike to a cutout open cave. (To my family- if you remember that massive carved our place with a hangover in Arkansas on the way to that one cave where you have to crawl, it was basically a mini version of that). Harry wore Lederhosen (very traditional German leather overalls), it was incredible. "Its my only hiking outfit"
- little miracle. An Arabic family we contacted showed up at church. The parents couldn't really understand German, so we decided to introduce the Book of Mormon to them in Sunday School. We had brought the exact copies we needed in order to best support their needs! We weren't even sure they were showing up but we were prepared with exactly what we needed for their spiritual growth. The whole hour they were reading in it by themselves. They seem interested and we hope they come back!
- lots of meetings and stuff for training, so we only had one full day of proselyting work, but that one day was packed! It was awesome. We had 5 lessons (which is a lot for our area right now), and found 3 new interested people. The rest of this week looks busy as well, so we are excited to see the work picking up pace.
- today we ventured around the city looking for our own lederhosen. I ended up buying an old fashioned cap and new shoes. (My old ones are absolutely destroyed from the last year and couple months)
James 1:27
"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
Bleibt cool!
