September 26: The road is a ray of light

Little bit of a roller-coaster week! A lot if incredible things happened tho. Significant events: - we went to Luxembourg! Our branch president lives there with his wife and 10 kids. They're basically an American family, all of the kids sound American and only our Branch president has a little French accent. We had a little youth activity (which is the branch president's kids and some friends they invite) and we played some pool (I slayed) and had some bbq and a devotional. It was fun! -I got sick on Sunday, and had a very long early morning to say the least. We didn't make it to church, and I slept half of the day. It turns out, about 2/3 of our branch was sick as well! Luckily Elder Haws was feeling alright. - we had a bunch of people who were going to come to church, and we were so excited! We told them we were sick though and nobody showed up  . Always another week though! - we met with some amazing people.    - Angelika (the lady from last week who texted us w...

I didn't write an email last week, sorry to all of my weekly subscribers. We had very important matters on our hands (playing paintball). Things have been amazing though! It's totally worth it though, and we're seeing the hand of The Lord in so many things we do. It's also amazing to see the Lord use imperfect people like Elder Haws and I, in our weakness, to accomplish his gathering, and it really feels like it is happening. I can feel my faith increasing day by day.  Here are some highlights from the recent 2 weeks: - we set a baptismal date for our friend Rohit! - we tried to go "thank you card" contacting, but everyone we talked to was so confused...

What an awesome week! Here's some highlights: - we got to help a new senior couple move in, and translate for all the bureaucracy they had to do here. It was awesome to get to know them! - we went on a branch hike! Most of our branch got together on Saturday and did a short hike to a cutout open cave. (To my family- if you remember that massive carved our place with a hangover in Arkansas on the way to that one cave where you have to crawl, it was basically a mini version of that). Harry wore Lederhosen (very traditional German leather overalls), it was incredible. "Its my only hiking outfit"  - little miracle. An Arabic family we contacted showed up at church. The parents couldn't really understand German, so we decided to introduce the Book of Mormon to them in Sunday School. We had brought the exact copies we needed in order to best support their needs! We weren't even sure they were showing up but we were prepared with exactly what we needed for their spirit...
