January 30, 2025: It's our hearts that make the beat

The week was another good one! We continue to find new people and teach them- some who progress and some who do not. The most exciting thing though is that our friend Okwuudili has been doing great and will be baptized this Saturday!! Other fun news: After church our friend Andrés rented a brand new tesla and took us down the unlimited speed German highway known as the autobahn to the temple, where we did a little tour. He loved it and it was super fun. We were cruising at 200km/h (~130mph) We did exchanges with the AP's! It was super insightful and we learned a ton. Our area has already improved a ton since applying what we learned there.  We're teaching a Chinese guy named Noah and it's super cool to see him learn and progress in the Gospel. He has practically no background in religion so it's just super cool to see him discover the gospel! He is also wanting to be baptized. That's the week! Bis nächste Woche, Elder Tage Rex

It's been an awesome week!  On Friday we had mission leadership conference and got to hear from Elder Alliaud again. It was super eye opening and inspirational. He talked about how if we don't have the vision of a white field, we will never be able to reap it at a high rate. The vision really changed everything, and coorelates with your faith in the gathering of Israel.  On Saturday we went to a little city called Speyer down near Heidelberg. It was Elder Stubbs last area and a friend he was teaching there got baptised so we went to visit. It was really nice! Sunday was good! We had 6 friends at church. On Monday and Tuesday we did an exchange with the Friedrichsdorf elders, and I was with one of my old companions, Elder Ormond, so that was fun!  On Tuesday we came back and had our district council. The sisters just happened to have brought a late birthday cake for me which was a huge surprise! It was super nice of them. It was a strawberry cake too, my favorite typ...

Sonia was baptized this week!! It was so amazing. Unfortunately the French guy who was going to baptize her was sick, but his wife came in order to translate into French and we gave Elder McCann, our trainee, the chance to baptize her. I gave a talk about Baptism, and everything about the service went really well. It was the smoothest baptism I think I've been a part of. On Sunday she was given The Gift of the Holy Ghost and she had the biggest smile on her face. Afterwards we talked to her and she said "I feel like I have truly been born again" and it was the sweetest thing! Otherwise the week was pretty normal.  On Thursday we did a mini mission, where we took a youth out for 5 hours to experience what it's like to be a missionary for a bit. It was pretty nice!  We had a nice exchange with the Kassel Elders, and were able to find some new people to teach! We had Zone Conference, which was a special Mission Tour from a church leader this time. Elder Alliaud, who is...

We had another crazy week! We started off with an exchange with the elders in Koblenz. I was with Elder Woodman who's super chill and we had a great time together. After the exchange it was my birthday so we headed straight to my birthday party at Michelles! She is awesome, and I'll have some pictures down below. She made a ton of food, gave me some flowers and her friend made a delicious cake. It was a good birthday! It snowed all that night and all the roads froze over. We had church the next day, but lots of people were advised to stay home because of the weather. We still went and were able to convince our friend Elef to come with despite the weather, even though only 20 people showed up. It was a great service! Monday was good, we visited our friend Sam and even though he isn't interested in being baptized, he's been finding people who are interested in meeting with us and so he invited us to come over and meet a new guy. It was really cool, they're both Syri...

A fun week! We had 3 more meal appointments this week, which is unheard of for this area. One with a Ukrainian family named the Bondarchuks, another with an Oma named Schwester Hartmann, and then we went to Michelle's again for Sunday dinner (Phillipino member who cooks an insane amount of food). So that was fun! We only had a few days of actual work this week because of a mission event, but we were still able to get some stuff done which was nice. We hit all of our goals last week despite Christmas! Sunday was awesome, we had 4 people show up to church despite the holidays. The members were super friendly and they all felt the love. We got to teach them all there and they all really enjoyed it! The craziest part of this last week was what we did as a mission over New Years. New year's Eve gets really crazy here in Germany. Our mission president didn't want us going out much on the 31st and 1st, so instead of working outside, as a mission we read the ENTIRE Book of Mormon...
