Elder Tage Rex: Germany Frankfurt Mission

  Had a nice week! Started off with an exchange. I was with "Elder Bishop". I wonder if he will one day be Bishop Bishop. We did another exchange later in the week with some of our media Elders, so that was fun too.  The best thing this week would probably be that we organized what we call a "Hype week" where we have some kind of competition in the Zone in order to to help people be motivated to do missionary work. Often times these hype weeks kinda aren't that great (in all honesty) but ours was pretty successful! We based it off of different methods of finding people to teach. Those methods we identified were finding through families where not all family members have been baptized, referred people from members, referred people from people we teach, social media finding, and contacting in public.   Hallo! I forgot to write last week, so this may be more of a summary of the last two weeks. Here is what we have been up to! - lots of finding and teaching. Hopefully soon baptising as well! We have had a few exchanges and we always stack as many appointments on those days as possible. We try to teach our progressing friends about 2 times a week for 30 minutes each, and so some days we will have ~10 lessons when we have exchanges and it's super cool. Because I am teaching more often and and more concisely than ever before, I'm improving a lot on making my teaching quick and to the point, as well as bold.  - were teaching a new guy Andrés who is a German-Colombian guy. He's super cool and a German bro with actual interest. We had a lesson with him last week, and the member we invited to the lesson got on, and it just so happened that they already buddies from law school together!   What a week! Lots of new stuff going on, but it's been great so far. We've been busy planning a lot of things as well as teaching some amazing people who have been prepared to accept our message. We expecting a few baptisms in the next transfer or two. Highlights: - we had Mission Leadership Conference (MLC)! Basically all of the Zone Leaders, Sister Training Leaders, the Assistants, and our Mission President got together and talked about what we are implementing and changing about the mission going into the next transfer, as well as reviewing how last transfer went. I definitely learned a lot and it was super fun to see some of my buddies who are leading other Zones.  - General Conference! My 3rd one on the mission. I haven't listened to all of it yet but I loved hearing the words of our prophet and there was a big focus on how we are never out of reach from God's love and forgiveness.   Grüß euch! This week came out of left field.  We got transfer Announcements on Saturday. Elder Haws and I were CERTAIN that we were staying in Trier. And then we got a phone call. I'm moving to an area called Wetzlar-Gießen, where I will be a Zone Leader in Friedrichsdorf! That's also where the temple is, so that's exciting. My new companion is Elder Oswald, who was my ZL a few transfers ago. He's a great missionary and a goofy guy, so I think we will have a lot of fun together.  I don't have much time to write, but it's been a really good week. Saying goodbye to the people in Trier was hard but Elder Haws is ready to take over. We also finally got our washing machine fixed-- right as I left.  We were able to have a lot of great lessons and had 7 people at church. I'm happy to have left Trier better than how I found it.
